Business Development Manager - Chicago/Detroit

Our client, a mid-size global freight forwarder and European company, is currently hiring for a Business Development Manager position to be based in either Chicago or Detroit. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing company and be part of their sales team across the Midwest.

Job Description:

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company goals and targets
  • Identify new business opportunities and cultivate relationships with potential clients
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the industry and stay updated on market trends
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth execution of sales strategies
  • Prepare and present sales proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals

Key Responsibilities:

  • Bring a book of business and demonstrate a steady background in business development
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders
  • Meet and exceed sales targets and contribute to the overall growth of the company
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients and provide exceptional customer service
  • Stay updated on industry regulations and ensure compliance with company policies
