You could expand your capabilities by being part of a new sales territory for a well-established German forwarder
They already have 30 offices worldwide, and Dortmund is their next area for growth. You could be the Outside Sales Executive that helps make that happen.
You would be joining a sales team that offers an incredibly personal, local approach to their customers. This means you’ll not need to travel further than Essen for your customer meetings
Your local knowledge will be valued here, whether its empathising with Borussia Dortmund’s latest Champions League woes, planning your visit to the Festival der Dortmunder Bierkultur or talking about how cool the Phoenix des lumières exhibition is
You’ll be supported by a close-knit Sales and management team based in Düsseldorf and Cologne, so you won’t feel remote
You can be selling across all modes, but the company is very strong in airfreight and particularly highly time-critical solutions, so prior experience selling airfreight is essential
You’ll be working in an environment that’s big enough to support your ambitions, but small enough that you can change things. Think flat hierarchies and fast decision-making.
If you love building close personal relationships with your customers this is the place for you. It’s not a race-to-the-bottom price competition here. You have a strong say in the pricing and margins.
You’ll be able to work essentially remotely, although dropping into the office in Dortmund or Düsseldorf a few times a month is good
Based of your experience you could expect a salary ranging from €60,000 - €90,000 plus up to €20,000 in commission and a company car
