Role Summary:
The Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) will be a key member of the executive leadership team, reporting directly to the President. The CCO will be responsible for developing and executing the company’s global commercial strategy, driving revenue growth, and strengthening the sales and customer engagement functions. The President, who spent 300 hours traveling last year to meet with global offices and sales teams, is looking to share these responsibilities with the incoming CCO, ensuring a more balanced leadership presence across international markets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive global commercial strategy aligned with the company’s growth objectives.
- Lead, mentor, and expand the sales and business development teams, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring exceptional customer experience and retention.
- Represent the company at industry conferences, trade events, and high-level customer engagements.
- Take on a significant portion of the President’s travel responsibilities, visiting global offices, meeting with regional teams, and supporting strategic sales efforts.
- Identify new market opportunities and partnerships to enhance the company’s service offerings and revenue streams.
- Drive commercial innovation, leveraging data analytics and technology to enhance sales effectiveness and market penetration.
- Collaborate with the operations and finance teams to ensure alignment between commercial objectives and overall business performance.
Candidate Profile:
- A proven track record in senior commercial leadership within the freight forwarding, logistics, or supply chain industry.
- Experience managing international sales teams and driving commercial success across multiple regions.
- Willingness to travel extensively to support global sales and operational initiatives.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to develop and maintain executive-level relationships with key customers.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to balance short-term performance goals with long-term business growth.
