Job description

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the complete process for non-Laufer routed clients.
  • Manage customs entries for Laufer routed clients.
  • Ensure accurate and timely filing of Import Security Filing (ISF) for non-Laufer routed clients.
  • Communicate with clients regarding ISF, documentation, classification, customs/PGA issues, exams/holds, etc.
  • Verify the accuracy of commercial documents for customs entry.
  • Maintain and manage client product HTS databases.
  • Monitor, track, and trace client shipments.
  • Ensure accurate and timely transmission of CBP and PGA entries for assigned clients.
  • Liaise with CBP, OGAs, SSL, forwarders, and terminals to resolve clearance issues.
  • Secure freight release for non-Laufer routed clients when needed.
  • Arrange delivery for non-Laufer routed clients when needed.
  • Process and monitor Post Summary filings.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training.

Qualifications:

  • Customs Brokerage License preferred but not required.
  • Understanding of Customs and PGA business with a minimum of 1 year of CHB experience.
  • Proficiency in using standard business technology tools.
  • Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to multitask.
  • Strong research, conflict resolution, creative problem-solving, and follow-up skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
